Our Covid-19 Safety Procedures

The following is a detailed list of how KDP plans to implement regulations set by The State of Michigan and the CDC.

Please note that this is an ever changing situation and this page will be updated as regulations change.

If you have any questions or concerns please e-mail the studio directly or call us with your concerns. The health and well being of our dancers and their families are our top priority.

Mask Wearing Guidelines

 At KDP, we were excited to hear about the amended mask guidelines from the CDC that have been recently announced.

The majority of our dancers are currently younger than the vaccination age and we will continue to wear masks in the studio when we are instructing classes for dancers under 12 in our effort to keep them safe.

**If any guidance from the CDC or our State Government should change, our requirements may alter as well!**

• All dancers and family members that enter our studio and are not vaccinated are asked to please wear a mask.
• Our dance instructors will be in a mask while teaching dance classes for classes with children under 12.

Dance Studio Capacity

• Studio capacity is back to 100%. We will continue to maintain distancing when possible during classes.

Inside The Dance Rooms

• Yoga mats are recommended for al classes that have floor warm ups.
• Dancers must have dance shoes on their feet at all times.  No bare feet allowed.
• If dance shoes are not owned, dancers must wear socks.

Cleaning and Sanitizing

• All high touch items will be sanitized between every dance class.  This includes (but not limited to) door handles, ballet barres, and the restroom. 
• There will be hand sanitizer stations at the entrance to each dance room and also in the dance rooms.
• Anti-bacterial soap will be available in the restroom.
• All students must use hand sanitizer before entering the dance room.
• Dancers who participate in a warmup before class should bring their own yoga mat or towel to warm up on.

Health Screening

• All staff members will be screened and have temperature taken at the start of their shift.
• Any staff member found ill or with symptoms will immediately sent home and the dance studio will be sanitized. This will take place before they enter the studio.
• If a staff member is found ill or with symptoms all dance families will be notified immediately.
• Students who seem symptomatic will be dismissed immediately.  A family member will be contacted for immediate pick up.  The dance studio will be sanitized and family members will be contacted and made aware.
• Please keep your dancer home if they are symptomatic or not feeling well.
